Steve Selig, President & Chairman of the Board
Steve Selig, President and Chairman of the Board of Selig Enterprises has been in the commercial real estate field and employed with Selig Enterprises for over 35 years. He is also the Chairman of the Board of AAA Parking, a Selig subsidiary.
Steve is a pillar of the Atlanta community in both religious and civic affairs, and he has also held prominent posts on the national level. He was named the National Campaign Chairman of the United Jewish Communities in 2003. Steve is also past president of his synagogue, as well as the Atlanta chapter of the American Jewish Committee and the Atlanta Jewish Federation. He currently serves on a number of boards and civic councils, including: the Board of Commissioners of the Atlanta Housing Authority; Honorary Consul of Denmark in Atlanta; The Board of Trustees for the University of Georgia Foundation; Woodruff Arts Center; the Carter Center; and Spelman College, among others. He recently served on the Board of Directors of Trustees for Wachovia Bank of Georgia.
Influential in Democratic Party politics, Steve was Chairman of the Host Committee for the Democratic National Convention in 1988, and he served as President Carter’s Chief Liaison with the business community while in the White House from 1976 to 1980.
Cathy Selig, Co-Owner & Senior Vice President
Cathy Selig is co-owner and Senior Vice President of Selig Enterprises. She is the third generation of the Selig family to be involved in the business founded by her grandfather Ben Massell. Since her employment with Selig Enterprises, Inc. in 1987, Cathy has been involved with all aspects of day-to-day operations, including leasing, implementing new development projects and generating ideas for Retail Leasing. She is supportive of personnel and maintains an “open door” policy, always making herself available to help. Cathy also serves as an Ambassador of Goodwill for the Selig family through her active community involvement.
Cathy is actively involved in various business and professional organizations, including International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and Midtown Business Alliance. She was Campaign Chairman for the Ben Massell Clinic, and served on the Executive Board of the High Museum. She is also a graduate of Leadership Atlanta, class of 1992.
In addition to her leadership roles with Professional organizations, Cathy is actively involved in many aspects of the community. She is, or was on the Boards of Midtown Business Alliance, High Museum of Art, Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, The Temple, University of Georgia Museum of Art and Jewish Family and Career Services. She is past Vice President of the American Jewish Committee and has served as Campaign Chair and President of the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, Women’s Division. She is assuming the role of Campaign Chairwoman for the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta in 2012. During her tenure at Selig Enterprises, Inc., Cathy was honored by the Davis Academy at their dinner of honor and was a recipient of the Jewish Federation of North America’s Woman of Achievement award. She also received The Selig Service Award in 2009 by the American Jewish Committee.
Cathy’s real love, however, is her family: her husband Steve; her children Bryan and Amy, Greg and Erica; and her grandchildren Daniel, Lindsey, Gabrielle and Harrison.
Jo Ann Chitty, Senior Vice President
Jo Ann serves as Senior Vice President and has been employed with Selig Enterprises since 2005. In this role, she is responsible for Acquisitions, Development and Project Finance. Jo Ann currently serves as a Kennesaw State Foundation Trustee, Chair of the Nominating Committee, and is on the Chairman's Cabinet, Executive Committee, and Finance Committee. Additionally, she serves on the Capital Improvements Committee for the Piedmont Park Conservancy as well as an Urban Plan Mentor for the Urban Land Institute.
Previously, Jo Ann served as founding Executive Director and President of the UGA Real Estate Foundation, Inc. The non-profit was created to acquire, develop and finance real estate projects for the University of Georgia. During her five-year tenure, she acquired, developed and financed more than $200 million in real estate assets.
Prior to that, Jo Ann was Senior Vice President of iStar Financial [NYSE:SFI] the successor company of the 1999 merger of TriNet Corporate Realty Trust and Starwood Financial, Inc. She was responsible for the leasing, dispositions and acquisition underwriting of the company’s $30 million sf equity portfolio valued at approximately $2.5 billion. Jo Ann Chitty received her undergraduate and MBA degrees from Jacksonville University, Jacksonville, Florida.
S. Kevin Curry, Vice President of Construction & Property Management
Kevin is the Vice President of Construction and Property Management at Selig Enterprises, Inc. and has been with the company since 1989. In this capacity, Kevin is responsible for all physical property assets for Selig Enterprises. Kevin oversees the construction and development of all new projects as well as the management of all Selig properties.
Selig Enterprises’ present portfolio includes over 270 buildings, which amounts to over 10 million square feet, throughout the Southeast.
Kevin’s education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, a Master in Business and most recently a Master in Civil Engineering-Construction Management from Georgia Tech.
William J. Dawkins, Senior Vice President, Secretary & General Counsel
William J. Dawkins serves as Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel for Selig Enterprises, Inc., and President and Principal Broker of Selig Realty, Inc. He has been employed with Selig Enterprises since 1976.
Mr. Dawkins holds a Juris Doctorate degree from The Emory University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Florida State University. He has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1974. With respect to Georgia landlord-tenant law, Mr. Dawkins has authored 10 books, has served as an advisor to the Georgia General Assembly and a Pro Hac Vice Magistrate Judge, Fulton County Landlord-Tenant Court and has chaired or spoken at over 300 seminars for Georgia judges, magistrates, attorneys and real estate professionals. He has served as Chairperson of the Real Estate Section of the Atlanta Bar Association and as a member of the Executive Committee of the Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia. He is a member of Who’s Who in American Law, and holds an AV® rating, the highest peer review rating of Martindale-Hubbell.
Mr. Dawkins has served as a member of The Emory University School of Law Board of Advisors, the Florida State University College of Arts and Science Leadership Council, the Florida State University Seminole Boosters Board of Directors and the Florida State University Seminole Boosters Real Estate Committee.
Bonnie Dean, Vice President, Director of Construction
Bonnie Dean serves as Vice President, Director of Construction and has been employed with Selig Enterprises since 1994. She has over 28 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry, specializing in mixed-use, retail, office and industrial development.
During her tenure with Selig, Bonnie has been instrumental in managing construction projects on over 2,500,000 square feet of new development with the development cost of approximately $100,000,000. These developments include Brookwood Place, The Terraces at Windward, Crystal Beach Plaza, Buckhead Triangle, Dunwoody Place, Mansell Point, City Crossing, 231 West Ponce De Leon, Presidential Commons, Sherwood Plaza, Corporate Lakes I & II and many property renovations. She is currently overseeing the development of 12th and Midtown, a premier mixed-use development in midtown Atlanta and a 300-acre mixed-use development in LaGrange, Georgia.
Bonnie holds a Georgia Real Estate Salesperson license, is a member of International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and has her degree in Business from Lake Land/University of Illinois.
Dennis Fleming, Assistant Director of Property Management
Dennis is the Senior Property Manager and has been with the company since 1993. With a BA from St. Meinrad College, Indiana, and a twenty-five year career in construction and facility management, including an eight-year term with General Electric Medical Systems, Dennis initially joined Selig as its tenant improvements construction manager.
As Senior Property Manager at Selig Enterprises Inc., Dennis has built and provided leadership to a Property Management staff that includes six Property Managers, two Administrative Assistants, and a field team of sixteen Maintenance personnel. This department provides fiscal responsibility for operating expenditures in excess of $22,000,000 per year. While managing the day-to-day operations of maintaining 10 million square feet of property, Dennis has initiated programs and procedures to economically maintain roof systems, fire protection systems and standard facility operations.
Shirley A. Gouffon, Senior Vice President
Shirley A. Gouffon, Senior Vice President, has been in the commercial real estate field and employed with Selig Enterprises Inc. since 1984 in a retail leasing and brokerage capacity.
Shirley's retail experience and expertise has been primarily in the lifestyle and specialty retail arena. In her role as Senior Vice President of 12th & Midtown, a 25-acre, 5 billion dollar mixed-use development on the Midtown Mile, she is responsible for leasing the retail component of the project, comprised of over 500,000 square feet of flagship retail.
During her tenure at Selig, Shirley has been actively involved with various professional and trade organizations including International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), where she chaired the Southeast Conference in 1999; the Real Estate Group of Atlanta (REGA), where she held a board position for three consecutive years; Commercial Real Estate Women of Atlanta (CREW-Atlanta) where she served as President in 1997 and held a board position for six consecutive years and National Association of Office Industrial Properties (NAIOP) where she was named a Top Five Producer – Retail Category for seven consecutive years.
Robert C. Riddle, Executive Vice President
Bob is Executive Vice President of Selig Enterprises, Inc., AAA Parking’s parent company. He has been with Selig since 1972 and his responsibilities include development, finance, acquisition and disposition of real properties. Bob has been involved in the development of parking facilities, shopping centers, warehouses, apartments and other commercial properties.
Bob holds a MBA and BBA in Real Estate and Finance from Georgia State University and Juris Doctorate from Woodrow Wilson College of Law.
He is a licensed Georgia real estate broker and member of the International Council of Shopping Centers.
James A. Saine, Vice President, Industrial & Office Leasing
Jim Saine currently serves as Vice President, Office and Industrial, and has been with Selig Enterprises, Inc. since 1992. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he majored in Marketing and Finance. In 1984 he joined Synco Properties, Inc., a Charlotte, North Carolina based Real Estate Syndicator. As District Vice President and later as Regional Vice President, Jim was involved in all aspects of this business, with particular emphasis on leasing and property management for Office Properties located in Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. In his current role, Jim holds direct leasing responsibilities for over 1,200,000 square feet of office and 2,500,000 square feet of industrial space. He has consistently maintained exceptionally high occupancy and his notable projects include assisting in the identification and acquisition of 1.015 million square feet of industrial space in the West Midtown / Chattahoochee submarket.
Jim has been a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) since 1992 and holds a Broker's License in Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee. His industry affiliations include the National Association of Office Properties (NAIOP), CORENET Gobal and CCIM Georgia Chapter.
Mindy Selig, Leasing Associate
Mindy Selig is a Leasing Associate at Selig Enterprises and has been with the company since 1997. She is currently responsible for helping lease Selig's 4,000,000 square foot retail portfolio.
Mindy has been involved in the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, where she was named a Top 5 Producer in 1996; International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and Commercial Real Estate Women of Atlanta (CREW). Prior to working at Selig Enterprises, Inc., Mindy was employed by Cushman & Wakefield and Branch / Regency in a Retail Leasing capacity.
Mindy is actively involved in many aspects of the community and serves on the Boards of Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta (JFGA), The Davis Academy and Camp Sunshine. As Development Chair for The Davis Academy, she received recognition for being instrumental in helping to raise over one million dollars for the school.
Scott Selig, Vice President of Acquisitions & Development
Scott Selig, Vice President, Acquisitions and Development graduated in 1993 from the University of Arizona with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate. He attained his MBA from the University of Georgia in Real Estate and Strategic Management. Scott also received his CCIM designation in June of 2002.
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, Midtown Alliance, Buckhead Community Improvement District and the Buckhead Coalition. His leadership role in charitable and community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta, the Ron Clark Academy, Camp Twin Lakes as well as many City Committees. During his tenure at Selig Enterprises, Inc., Scott has been the recipient of such prestigious awards as The State of Georgia Outstanding Citizen Recognition Award, Atlanta Business Chronicle's "40 under 40" To Watch and most recently the recipient of the President’s Award from the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors.
Scott works in all facets of Selig Enterprises, Inc. including office, industrial and retail leasing as well as acquisitions and development. Scott has been employed with Selig since 2000.
Ronald J. Stein, CPA, Chief Financial Officer
Ronald J. Stein is a Certified Public Accountant. He serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Selig Enterprises, Inc. and the Treasurer of Selig Parking, Inc. d/b/a AAA Parking. Ron has been with the Company since 1993. His duties include supervision of all financial, operational and tax matters for the Company and its subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Selig, Ron was the Managing Partner of Bach, James, Mansour & Co., P.C., a local Atlanta C.P.A. firm. At Bach James, he supervised accounting work for Selig Enterprises for 18 years and provided tax, accounting, estate planning, and business consulting services for the company, as well as for a variety of businesses, non-profit organizations and individual clients.
He is active with several professional organizations including the Georgia Society of C.P.A.'s and its Real Estate Division, the American Institute of C.P.A.'s, the International Council of Shopping Centers and the Real Estate Investment Advisory Council of Atlanta (REIAC).
Ron attended the University of Florida where he received a B. S. degree in Accounting.
Bill Stogner, Senior Vice President
Bill Stogner, Vice President of Retail Leasing, graduated from Georgia State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Land Development. Bill has been employed by Selig Enterprises, Inc. since 1976 and has worked in all facets of leasing, including office, industrial and retail.
During his career, he has been active in various professional and trade organizations, most notably as Southeast Program Chairman for ICSC in 1993 and as State Director for ICSC from 1994-1997.
Bill’s primary responsibility is to lease Selig’s existing retail portfolio and to assist with the development and acquisition of new retail centers.
Kent Walker, Vice President, Industrial Properties
Kent Walker serves as Vice President and has been employed with Selig Enterprises since 1977. In this position, Kent is responsible for the leasing of Selig’s 5,000,000 square foot Industrial Portfolio. Kent, on occasion, also represents third parties in a brokerage capacity.
Kent is actively involved with several professional organizations: he is an Associate Member of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP), has served on the NAIOP Forum for Industrial Development, and is an Affiliate Member of the Society of Industrial Office Realtors (SIOR). Kent has also been recognized as a million dollar producer by NAIOP for several years. Additionally, he serves as a Board Member for the Fulton Industrial Community Improvement District.
Kent has received an A.A. in General Studies from Georgia Military College, a BBA with a major in Real Estate from Georgia State University and a JD from Atlanta Law School. Kent is a member of the Georgia Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
